Design and development of the Exterior Arrangements project for the future University Residence on the Tapada da Ajuda Campus of the Higher Institute of Agronomy of the University of Lisbon.
The project sought to integrate the building from a scenic and landscape perspective, diversifying the offer of outdoor spaces for students and integrating various functions into the public space to create an informal space for relaxation and recreation.
The project included the creation of several “gardens” that made the use of outdoor spaces more flexible, especially within the building, while maintaining the organization of the garden and its wall and low wall structures, with shrub areas seeking to integrate the built complex in order to minimize its impact on the surrounding landscape. The proposed intervention was characterized by simplicity, aiming for low construction costs and simple maintenance. The adoption of flower fields and native or exotic ornamental species adapted from a perspective of sustainable use of available resources was proposed.
Intervention area: 2.620 m2 | 2025 | In development
