Tâmega greenway

The Ecopista do Tâmega greenway is part of the conversion of the old Tâmega railway line.

The route has a length of 39 km, between Amarante and Arco de Baúlhe and offers diverse landscapes such as forest and agricultural fields and also the Tâmega River.

In addition to surface improvements, several public spaces adjoining stations along the route were also rehabilitated, giving these areas support facilities for the greenway and for the daily urban life of local residents.

The greenway was opened in 2013, but some stations are only now being rehabilitated.
