Winner of the public tender organized by Lisboa Ocidental SRU – Sociedade de Reabilitação Urbana E.M., S.A. for the design of the underground parking facility.
Architectural design and project management for a facility currently in an advanced stage of construction, intended to support Lisbon’s largest municipal affordable housing development. The building is designed for vehicle parking and features a “green roof” garden that serves as a link between the buildings within the development. It includes three vertical pedestrian access cores from the garden, vehicle entry and exit at ground level (Level 0), and five underground floors with a total capacity of 586 parking spaces.
Selected materials prioritize durability, ease of application, and low maintenance, while also emphasizing environmental benefits such as waste reduction and a minimized carbon footprint. In addition to numbered parking spaces and pedestrian walkways, a signage plan and color scheme were developed to identify floors and zones; this system is compatible with ColorAdd, enabling everyone—including the colorblind—to distinguish the colors.
